The title makes you think that the book is based on Ellis island. While there is a mention of the subject traveling through the Island twice, very little writing is given to the subject.

This was a simple story of an Irish female as she lives her life both in Ireland and New York City. The book was enjoyable but I think a better title could be Ellis Island development concept plan book. In New York Harbor’s Upper Bay, Ellis Island is best known as the site where millions of immigrants entered the United States.
